Arts education

Why is it that, despite all the evidence in support of it, arts education is dieing? Besides everything else the arts just make the world a better place. Think about what music means to people. Let alone all the other arts. Architecture for example make all our envirments more interesting to live in. Amateur arts making might be the answer. More on that later.
